How much does a new kitchen cost in the Netherlands? Budget to luxury (2026)
A new kitchen in the Netherlands costs roughly €5,000 for a basic one up to €25,000 or more for luxury, installation included. Below is what to expect per segment, what is often left out of the price, and why sources disagree.
What does a kitchen cost per segment?
| Segment | Indicative price incl. installation | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Budget | €5,000 – €8,000 | Standard fronts, basic appliances, laminate or MDF worktop |
| Mid-range | €8,000 – €15,000 | Branded kitchen, induction hob, better worktop |
| Luxury | €15,000 – €25,000 | Design brand, boiling-water tap, better appliances |
| Bespoke | from about €28,000 | Fully custom, natural stone or veneer, top appliances |
Sources disagree on the details. One calculator puts the mid-range from about €9,000 and premium from about €16,000, while another gives €5,000 to €18,000 for the whole spectrum. The direction is the same everywhere: between basic and luxury there is a factor of three to five.
What is usually not in the kitchen price?
- Fitting and connecting appliances: €1,000 – €2,500
- Moving water and electrical lines: €500 – €1,200
- Extending the meter cupboard (for induction, for example): €400 – €800
- Removing the old kitchen: €200 – €500
- Plastering, painting, flooring: varies a lot per home
Together the sources put that at roughly €1,500 to €3,500 extra. So compare quotes on the same basis: is installation included, and is the pipework?
Where can you make a difference?
A large share of the money is in appliances and the worktop. One source works with roughly 40% appliances, 40% cabinets and 20% worktop. A simpler worktop or fewer built-in appliances saves more than cheaper fronts.
